The Move More After-School Standards outline how after-school programs can help young people meet the 60 minutes or more of daily physical activity recommended in the 2008 Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans.

Let’s Move: Solving Childhood Obesity

The Let’s Move campaign will combat the epidemic of childhood obesity through a comprehensive, collaborative and community-oriented approach that builds on effective strategies, and mobilizes public and private sector resources.  Let’s Move will engage every sector impacting the health of children to achieve the national goal, and will provide schools, families and communities simple tools to help kids be more active, eat better, and get healthy.

Main goals of the campaign include:

  • Helping Parents Make Healthy Family Choices
  • Serving Healthier Food in Schools
  • Accessing Healthy, Affordable Food
  • Increasing Physical Activity
